If you feel somewhat helpless watching current affairs, you may want to consider helping to form an Alliance for Regional Stewardship.
Click on the “Other Documents” in the menu and then on “Regional Stewardship Advisory Board Candidates” to examine a list of the kinds of people that should be involved and what contributions they can make.
To guide you in formation there is a national association (The Alliance for Regional Stewardship (ARS)* ) and a book (Civic Revolutionaries), which was the seed that established the ARS.
As you read the book and examine the monographs published by the ARL you should become more comfortable as you realize that others are concerned and doing something about it.
We need an Orange County Alliance for Regional Stewardship to create a framework consisting of an innovative economy, livable community, social inclusion, and collaborative governance.
I can provide you with a speech given in 2000 by the publisher of the Orange County Register stating that not only was a stewardship needed but that newspapers need to be stewards for their communities.
